Become a Parent: Where Do I Start?

Oftentimes when a new Intended Parent(s) begins to research and explore their options for their upcoming IVF journey, it can sometimes be overwhelming, and you might not know where to start. You might ask if you should find an IVF clinic first, or an egg donor agency or surrogacy agency first.

At Hatch Egg Donation and Surrogacy Agency, we provide you with a full-service experience throughout your journey, including locating an IVF clinic, finding an egg donor and/or surrogate, and guiding you through your journey from beginning to end.

For over 30 years, we’ve worked with the most renowned reproductive doctors in the world, and it shows with our success being among the best in the nation. As the first egg donation agency in the U.S., we have the experience and passion for every family-building journey.

IVF with an Egg Donor

The first part of every journey begins with identifying the Intended Parent(s) needs. There are many reasons that an intended parent needs to find an egg donor.

Some of these cases are listed below:

  •       Women who have a low ovarian reserve or have had removal of ovaries
  •       Single men who want to have children
  •       LGBTQ group who wishes to become parents
  •       People with certain genetic conditions who need third party help to have a baby

Once you have decided on what type of path you prefer or require for your journey, our specialist will help you through every step of the journey from identifying an egg donor to completing the egg donation process.  Everyone’s parenthood roadmap is unique; your consultation with one of our specialist physicians will help you map out what that journey looks like.  This consultation with our in-house fertility specialists can be done in person or remotely to help you plan your next steps.

When an Intended Parent decides to use an egg donor, several steps must be taken.

Your first step is to book a consultation with us, we will answer all the questions you may have and guide you through the entire process of becoming a parent. We will also assist you in selecting the egg donor who best meets your requirements and needs.

On average, it can take about 3-6 months from choosing an egg donor to the creation of embryos. After you are officially matched with an egg donor, she will go to your IVF clinic for an in-person medical screening appointment with your IVF specialist.  We will also connect you with an attorney that specializes in reproductive law to initiate the legal contract. After a legal contract is in place, your egg donor will begin medications used for ovarian stimulation for the egg retrieval procedure.

After the egg retrieval procedure, the embryos will be fertilized, cultured, and frozen for later use.

IVF with a Gestational Carrier (Surrogate)

Finding the right Surrogate can be a lengthy process. We recommend looking for your Surrogate as soon as possible. When you book your initial consultation with one of our specialists, we will give you an overview of our programs, matching process, surrogacy costs, insurance, legal process, and much more.

There are many reasons why an intended parent(s) might need to find a surrogate. Below are some of the more common reasons:

  •       Infertility issues
  •       Single men who want to have children
  •       LGBTQ group who wishes to become parents
  •       Medical problems including removal of the uterus
  •       Physical problems including unable to carry full term
  •       Personal decisions
