Surrogacy laws in the United States differ from state to state. Some states have laws permitting surrogacy, while other states may not have a specific law in place but are still favorable for intended parents pursuing surrogacy. Depending on the intended parent’s specific situation some states are more suitable than others. In this virtual event we will guide you through a general overview of the legal status for surrogacy in different states, as well as talk about what specific circumstances make a state more or less favorable for intended parents. There will also be time for a Q&A with experienced intended parents and surrogacy lawyers.

International Intended Parents considering initiating a surrogacy and/or egg donation journey must not only consider the legal process in the United States, but also weigh in the legalities surrounding immigration and citizenship in their home country. There are significant differences between countries, making the process unalike depending on the Intended Parents origin or place or residence. This virtual event will give Intended Parents based in the United Kingdom a breakdown of important legal considerations, both in the United States as well as in the UK. This event is hosted by Edvin, International Manager at Hatch, and Natalie Gamble, UK attorney and founder of NGA Law.
The number of gay men pursuing fatherhood through surrogacy is increasing. The path to parenthood for gay individuals and couples requires comprehensive services of both egg donation, surrogacy and IVF. This virtual event will give gay prospective intended parents an understanding of the process for them. There will also be time for a Q&A with gay dads and experienced Intended Parents.

Understanding the financial aspects and implications of a surrogacy journey is one of the most challenging first steps for intended parents. Plans do not only vary in pricing, but also in what items are included and how variable costs are handled during the journey. While some plans include some standard costs, other plans just provide estimates, yet other plans are fixed. In this virtual event intended parents will be guided through the differences of a variable cost journey in comparison to a fixed fee journey, as well as discuss the pros and cons of each approach. There will also be time for a Q&A with experienced intended parents.

Patients and Intended Parents considering a surrogacy journey using their own eggs, embryos, and/or semen must be aware of the regulations surrounding the use of human cells and tissues when using a Surrogate in the United States. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration regulates human cells or tissues that are used with the intention to be implanted, transplanted, infused, or transferred into a human recipient in the United States. This virtual event will provide a comprehensive walkthrough of the requirements when using human cells and tissues donated abroad for surrogacy in the United States. There will also be time for a Q&A with experienced intended parents.
