A Fully Funded Path to Parenthood

The Surrogacy Foundation and Hatch Fertility have partnered to fund and award its first-ever national surrogacy grant to cover the cost of a full journey to parenthood.

The grant marks a significant milestone in addressing the growing financial barriers to fertility care in the United States, where gestational surrogacy can cost over $150,000, placing it out of reach for many families. Through grants and partnerships, The Surrogacy Foundation works to reduce that barrier while promoting ethical surrogacy practices.

Grant recipients are selected through a robust multi-step grant application and review process, designed to identify families with both financial and medical needs to parenthood but also to ensure fairness and transparency.

Serving in Volunteer Roles to Guide the Community

Hatch Fertility also serves on the Advisory Board of Men Having Babies and actively participates in its Gay Parenting Assistance Program (GPAP), helping provide one fee-free surrogacy journey each year to a member of the MHB community.

Pro Bono Services for Victims of Surrogacy Industry Scams

In 2025, SurroConnections, an Oregon-based surrogacy agency, ceased operations, leaving many intended parents and surrogates navigating unfinished journeys. Following the closure, reports emerged that funds from certain escrow accounts were missing, resulting in financial shortfalls for some surrogates and families involved.

Hatch provided support to several affected families and surrogates with ongoing journeys, ultimately managing five cases at no cost. Hatch also partnered with Men Having Babies to contribute to a financial assistance fund for affected members who had worked with SurroConnections. Together, those efforts helped cover the financial losses reported by Men Having Babies members connected to the agency.

Free Informational Sessions & Intended Parent Events

To foster connection and support, Hatch Fertility hosts regular informational Zoom sessions for surrogate candidates, matched surrogates, and intended parents, creating opportunities to learn, share experiences, and build lasting community.

Hatch also hosts in-person community events in the US and internationally that bring together surrogates and intended parents to celebrate surrogacy, strengthen networks, and support one another throughout the path to parenthood.

At Hatch, Intended Parents, Egg Donors, and Surrogates are not just part of a single journey, they become lifelong members of the Hatch community.
